The positivist paradigm views nature as structured and governed by consistent laws, with reality and governed by consistent laws with reality existing objectively, independent of human perception or interpretation (Polit & Beck, 2020, p. 8). This paradigm offers a systematic and well-defined framework for research. It is highly effective in forecasting future events. The constructivist paradigm declares that individuals shape their understanding of the world based on their understanding of the world, their own experiences, personal interpretations, and social interactions. The constructivist paradigm perceives reality as evolving by individuals where meaning is created within the social and contextual framework rather than a fixed entity (Polit & Beck, 2020, p. 9). It fosters empathy and appreciation for diverse viewpoints. I view the world in a constructivist view because experiences influence how individuals see and move through the world. I know how important critical thinking is along with being open-minded. That’s why I see the world from a constructivist paradigm.
